Headset and Distru Team Up to Automate Cannabis Ordering

Cannabis market data Headset has announced a new partnership with enterprise resource planning (ERP) and supply‑chain management platform Distru, creating an automated ordering system designed to reduce manual work and improve inventory accuracy across the cannabis market.
The new collaboration links Headset’s Bridge real‑time retail and market analytics with Distru’s fulfillment and delivery workflows. By tying demand signals directly to execution, the companies say operators can place orders at the right time and in the right quantities, with fewer stock‑outs and less over‑ordering.
Blaine Hatab, CEO of Distru, said the integration supports brands that want to keep high‑performing SKUs consistently stocked at retail.
“Headset enables brands to get live inventory levels from retail stores, and now they can seamlessly create orders directly in Distru based on agreed‑upon low inventory levels,” Hatab said in a March 13 press release about the new venture. “This is the future of where restocking is going in cannabis.”
The new partnership targets one of the industry’s most persistent operational problems: fragmented systems that force brands, distributors, and retailers to manually translate sales velocity and inventory data into purchase orders.
How the Integration Works
Headset Bridge analyzes sales trends, inventory levels, and reorder timing across participating retailers. Through the new integration, those insights can automatically generate purchase orders inside Distru, flowing directly into inventory, fulfillment, and delivery processes.
The two firms say the result is a more predictable supply chain that reduces bottlenecks and strengthens coordination between retailers, brands, and distributors.
“The cannabis industry has been forced to operate with data on one side and execution on the other,” said Cy Scott, CEO and co‑founder of Headset. “By integrating Headset Bridge with Distru, we’re closing that gap. Bridge tells you what to order and when, and Distru ensures it happens.”
Key Features

- Improved inventory efficiency and fewer stock‑outs
- Reduced manual workflows
- Better alignment between retailers, brands, and distributors
- A more seamless end‑to‑end supply chain experience
The integration will be available to mutual customers beginning this month.
What the New Partnership Signals for the Industry
As cannabis markets mature and margins tighten, operators are under pressure to eliminate inefficiencies that erode profitability. Automated ordering systems are common in traditional CPG and retail sectors, but cannabis has lagged due to fragmented tech stacks, inconsistent data, and regulatory complexity.
By linking demand intelligence directly to execution, the Headset–Distru partnership moves the industry closer to the kind of real‑time, responsive supply chain that operators in other industries rely on. For brands and distributors, it could reduce costly stock‑outs and overproduction. For retailers, it promises more consistent product availability and fewer manual tasks.
Most importantly, it signals a broader shift: cannabis tech platforms are beginning to integrate more deeply, closing the gap between insight and action at a time when operational precision is increasingly becoming a competitive advantage.
