Cannabis Giant High Tide Targets Europe’s Fastest-Growing Cannabis Market With New Store Launch

Canadian cannabis giant High Tide Inc. (NASDAQ: HITI) (TSXV: HITI) (FSE: 2LYA) has officially expanded into Europe. The company announced Monday that it has launched its first international Canna Cabana location in Germany, marking its formal entry into both the European and German markets.

The move follows High Tide’s recent acquisition of Remexian Pharma GmbH, a licensed medical cannabis importer and distributor based in Germany. The company says the deal positions it for long-term growth across the continent.

“This bricks-and-mortar launch demonstrates our commitment to Germany for the long haul,” said Raj Grover, High Tide’s founder and CEO.

A Strategic Berlin Launch

The new store is located at Alte Schönhauser Str. 2 in Berlin, in the center of the city’s political, cultural and artistic district. The area is also known for fashion, dining and boutique retail. The company views the flagship location as a key anchor for its broader expansion strategy in Europe.

Germany eased restrictions on medical cannabis for seriously ill patients in 2016, with the legislation taking effect in 2017. The country later legalized recreational use in April 2024, becoming the world’s ninth nation to do so. Demand has surged since, with imports rising more than 400% year-over-year in the first half of 2025, according to government data.

Grover called the Berlin opening “the first step in unlocking that global opportunity.”

“Germany, with more than 83 million people, is already Europe’s largest and most influential cannabis market,” he said. He noted that imports surpassed a record 143 tonnes in the first three quarters of 2025. “As cannabis usage continues to accelerate, so too will demand for Canna Cabana’s cutting-edge consumption accessories.”
