Botanical Sciences Announcing July 1st Launch of New Medical Cannabis Vaporized Products for Georgia Patients

New state law expands Georgia’s medical cannabis program, allowing eligible patients 21 and older to access vaporized oil and flower for the first time

ATLANTA, GA — [June 24, 2026] — Botanical Sciences, Georgia’s first physician-founded, fully integrated medical cannabis company, today announced plans to launch medical cannabis oil and flower products designed for vaporization beginning July 1st. The launch follows the scheduled July 1 effective date of Senate Bill 220, the “Putting Georgia’s Patients First Act”, one of the most significant updates to Georgia’s medical cannabis program since it began. The new law changes Georgia’s program from the former “low THC oil” program to a broader medical cannabis program and moves the state’s possession limit from a volume-based system measured in ounces to a THC-based system measured in milligrams.

Under the new law, registered patients may possess medical cannabis products containing up to a cumulative total of 12,000 milligrams of THC. The law also allows registered patients 21 and older to use approved medical cannabis products through vaporization. Vaporization works by heating cannabis oil or flower to release cannabinoids and terpenes as vapor, without combustion or the smoke associated with burning. Botanical Sciences will offer vaporized oil and vaporized flower beginning July 1 at all five of its dispensaries in Pooler, Chamblee, Marietta, West Midtown, and Stockbridge, as well as through its growing network of authorized independent pharmacy partners across Georgia.

“This is a major step forward for patients in Georgia,” said Gary Long, CEO of Botanical Sciences. “For years, patients and families have asked for faster-acting medical cannabis products that provide relief. The new law gives eligible patients more control, more flexibility, and more practical choices for managing their care. Botanical Sciences is proud to help bring these new legal products to Georgia patients safely and responsibly.”

All Botanical Sciences products are cultivated, processed, and tested at the company’s 360-acre, 133,000-square-foot facility in Glennville, Georgia. The company’s fully integrated model — from cultivation and manufacturing to dispensing and patient support — is designed to ensure product consistency, quality, and safety.
