1) Community Health Systems (NYSE: CYH): Shares have continued to build on earlier gains, currently up 18.77% to $30.75; sitting near the highs of the day. Skepticism has grown about Tenet Healthcare’s (NYSE: THC) lawsuit against the company. The stock took a huge hit in yesterday’s session, trading down as low as $22.32 after Tenet’s lawsuit alleging illegal admission of patients in order to benefit financially came to light. A downgrade from Above Average to Average at Caris is not holding the equity down.
2) Idenix Pharmaceuticals (NASDAQ: IDIX): Stock is continuing its climb into the afternoon, currently up 15.67% to $3.69 after starting the day in the red. The company was upgraded from Neutral to Buy at Bank of America (NYSE: BAC) yesterday morning.
3) Anika Therapeutics (NASDAQ: ANIK): Shares are skyrocketing 10.47% to $9.81 after remaining neutral throughout most of the day. Buying pressure started to build at 1:30 p.m. EST.
