According to Citi, Community Health Systems (NYSE: CYH) saw preliminary analysis of THC’s allegations.

Citi reported that yesterday, THC alleged that CYH “converts ER visits to medically unnecessary inpatient admissions.” “Our preliminary analysis of Medicare cost report data does NOT reveal CYH to have a higher than expected ER admission conversion rate or lower than expected average-length-of-stay (“ALOS”) that would support THC’s allegations. This data is preliminary and more analysis is needed to alleviate our concerns.”
